GlycoSnap Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose) These terms establish the conditions, procedures, rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the service provider ("Operator") and users of GlycoSnap ("Service").

Article 2 (Definitions) 1. "Service" refers to the health management mobile application providing AI-based food photo nutrition analysis, glucose prediction, calorie management, and diet tracking. 2. "User" refers to anyone who agrees to these terms and uses the Service. 3. "Account" refers to the service access created automatically through anonymous authentication when the user first launches the app. No separate registration or login is required.

Article 3 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms) 1. The Operator posts these terms within the Service settings. 2. The Operator may amend these terms within legal limits, with 7 days advance notice. 3. Continued use after amendment constitutes acceptance.

Article 4 (Service Contents) The Operator provides: - AI-based nutrition analysis via food photos - Post-meal glucose prediction and spike risk information - Daily calorie and macro nutrient tracking - Apple HealthKit integration for health data management - Diet challenge programs - Personalized meal order recommendations

Article 5 (Account and Authentication) 1. An account is automatically created via anonymous authentication on first launch. No email, password, or personal information is required. 2. Anonymous accounts are device-bound; data may become inaccessible upon app deletion or device change. 3. Users are responsible for device security and must not share access with third parties.

Article 6 (Service Use and Advertising) 1. The Service is provided free of charge, with in-app advertisements for operational support. 2. Advertisements are served through third-party ad networks; responsibility for ad content lies with advertisers. 3. The Operator may introduce paid subscription services with separate notice.

Article 7 (Service Interruption) 1. The Operator may temporarily suspend the Service for server maintenance, equipment replacement, or network issues. 2. The Operator will provide advance notice when possible.

Article 8 (User Obligations) Users must not: - Interfere with normal Service operations - Use Service information for commercial purposes without consent - Maliciously abuse AI analysis features - Violate applicable laws or these terms

Article 9 (Medical Disclaimer) 1. Nutrition analysis, glucose predictions, and calorie calculations are AI-based estimates and do not replace medical diagnosis or prescriptions. 2. Users must consult healthcare professionals for health-related decisions. 3. The Operator does not guarantee accuracy of health information and is not responsible for user decisions based on it.

Article 10 (Copyright and Food Photos) 1. Copyright and intellectual property rights for the Service belong to the Operator. 2. Food photos uploaded by users are used for AI analysis; the Operator may retain and use them for service quality improvement, AI model enhancement, and analysis accuracy improvement. 3. Food photos are used in de-identified form and are not sold to third parties.

Article 11 (Liability and Disclaimer) 1. The Operator is not liable for damages related to the free Service absent intent or gross negligence. 2. The Operator is not responsible for service interruptions due to force majeure, hosting provider or third-party service failures. 3. The Operator is not responsible for consequences of user decisions based on health information in the Service.

Article 12 (Dispute Resolution) Disputes related to Service use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Supplementary Provisions These terms are effective from May 1, 2026.
